OCS Energy can assist you with the commissioning of your proposed project, and we have outlined the approach used to make the most efficient use of time over the installation life of the project.
As a third party Commissioner, OCS Energy will enter the project at the beginning of construction to avoid end of project delays for omissions or errors made during construction. At contract signing we will reverse engineer the system to verify that the design will work to the expectations of all parties. Commissioning will include:
- System size/description, and balance of components -Evaluate site with product specifications
- Apply the NEC-National Electric Code to ensure code compliance
- Detail expected performance and lifetime production expectations
- Review permit work with permitting authority, if necessary
- Review and work with interconnection agency, if necessary
- Detail Maintenance and Operations
- Detail additional information as it applies to the specific project with appropriate diagrams, outlines and photos
- Field visits and written reports
- Present at system energization to oversee/troubleshoot
- Training for on-site maintenance department with an option to include the local fire department/authority
Upon receipt of the diagrams, we will review and evaluate the project, visit the site and meet with contractors/owners/financiers, any and all involved. During the construction of the project we will visit the site as many times as necessary to work with the contractor/installers; and at the commissioning of the project, we will be present to address the safety aspects of energizing the system. We have found from past experience that there will be a need for filed conversations with the contractor/installer during the course of the project. During a project we are on standby 24/7 and available.
Once the project begins we will submit reports of time spent, and how it was spent with an accounting using the outline of approximates below.
- Initial Design review/recommendations from site one-line/drawings
- Field visits – per day includes travel time
- Admin time charged as time is spent on reports
- Field and consultation calls – OCS will be on Standby 24/7
- Final Commissioning and Training will be a minimum of 1 full Field day and consist of a full system review
Give us a call to discuss the size and scope of your project so we can offer you a proposal to meet your Commissioning expectations.
